"excuse for MEP firms to use ADT on top of Revit Building"
did you mean ADT or ABS?
Isn't the only main deficiency in revit MEP/Systems currently the lack of
substantial stock content - however this can all be created by the user.
and typically the stock content only gets one started. the user should
develop their own families based on their needs in order to take full
advantage of the full automation of the software. the design professional,
not Autodesk, should be the author of the building's Information - right?
please, someone correct me if i am wrong.

One without the Other is not Useful
Unfortunately many A/E and Even Autodesk representative themselves announce
that Revit Systems is not ready to be used together with Revit Building.
First, I would like to know, if this announcement by Autodesk is on purpose
to help continue sale of their Architectural Desktop.
Second, my feeling for suggesting my comment above, is that I believe at the
very least for HVAC purpose for Buildings, Revit Systems is ready for use by
MEP firms.
Autodesk by its announcing that Revit Systems is not ready and it is just in
its early releases has created and provided the excuse for MEP firms to use
ADT on top of Revit Building. This solution package has created for a very
bad start for Launching BIM in the industry, for A/E industry, the Facility
Manager, Contractor, the Owner, and pretty much all the stakeholders.
