That doesn't seems to be an issue with the purge.
What version are you using?
What do you mean by opening the library? Can yo udescribe the steps?
Where is your library located? On your hard drive? Server?
I'm using Revit Architecture 2013.
I materials library is on C drive (not sure how to navigate threre though).
Opening the Library: Clicking the MANAGE tab then clicking 'Materials'.
Are you still having the issue?
Have you tried repairing the libray?
It could be that your computer is not handling Revit.
Can you please send us your computer specs?
Thank you, its all good now. I think the real issue was the congestion of my windows 'temp..' folder. I'm suspicious that revit leaves a whole pile of junk in the temp folder; it made a huge difference when all the files in the temp folder were deleted.
Glad to hear that and thanks for sharing the solution!
