I have noticed the added parameters of 'extensions.buffer1,extensions.buffer2,extensions.buffer3,...etc' after having installed subscripitons advantage tools.
1) Is there a way to tell which user id created the parameters?
2) How are they use, I have not seen them filled in at any points?
3) How do we delete them once they are in a Project, or can we?
Thanks
These are shared parameters automatically created by the Revit Extensions (the source file can be found at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Extensions 2012\Products\Revit\REXParams.2012.txt). These parameters are used internally by the Extensions, so I would not recommend removing them.
I hope this helps!
Katie,
Thanks for the reply. I would still like to know if there is a way to tell what User id and Date it was created. Ultimately I want to track the use of these parameters. I dont necessarily want to have to take all Extensions off all computers.
For instance if I am a Subcontractor using the Extensions for a Client who is not, will my machine populate the Extensions Parameters into their model? If so How do I clean them up?
Or if I am a BIM Manager using the tools to asses a model in my office how do I get the extensions parameters out of the model when I am done and we are submitting the model?
