I've been doing some of this. It's actually pretty straight forward if
you know anything about Excel or Access. ODBC exporting just dumps
*everything* from your Revit project into a database format, so that
you can then write your own reports to count up stuff and apply unit
prices. It's even got the area & length of walls and such, so you can
apply total unit costs to actual distance info.
Simply export, via ODBC, to a blank Excel document or blank Access
file, and then look through the data, and you should get what I mean.
