Mirrored Families, Best Practice test

Hi,

When we were running a best practice test on our model and it flagged up a lot of mirrored families.

This is an issue I haven't faced before. It seems that using the flip control on a door (or any other family for that matter) will cause it to come up as a mirrored family?

How can I rectify this issue?

Thanks in advance

I assume this is due to door handing. Some firms have two separate families that are mirrored so that handing can be automated in a schedule. Mirroring doors would screw that up. We use Dynamo to pull handing so this wouldn't be an issue for us.

What's it reporting as mirrored?  Double Vertical Flip or Double Horizontal Flip or either one? Just curious to know.

- don't use Flip controls for families not supposed to be mirrored

- ignore errors reporting door or other families with purposeful flip controls
