Create extrusion in section view

I simply want to create model in place. the best and easiest way is to draw an extrusion in a section view. I'm having hard time doing this. Can you please help?

You need to set a workplane (Architecture > Set > select a workplane) which could be a grid, a named reference plane, or the face of an object. Then you can draw the extrusion in the section view, perpendicular to the workplane.

If you have gridline facing perpendicular to your section view, you can use grid as your reference. First you go to set and pick a plane. If you don't have gridline, then use reference plane.
