I want to build a family wich is symetrical. It consists of 2 parts (one half is the mirrored version of the other one). At the connectionpoint there is a hinge, so I want to control the angle of one part in relation to the other. (see picture).
I want to use nested families, because the 2 parts are equal (mirrored). I have been trying all day, but I can't get this to work! When I change the angle, the tip of the second half moves with the ref-line, but the angle of the second half stays similar to the previous rotation.
Can anyone who knows how to solve this build me a sample family that uses this concept?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark,
One of our other Support technicians, Ryan Duell, wrote a post on our Product Support blog, The Revit Clinic, that I would suggest taking a look at: Rotational Parameters and Face Based Nested Families.
Please let us know if this helps!
I couldn't open the video (videos are blocked on our side), but I did manage to find what I was doing wrong. I had to select the option "Rotate with component" in my detail components.
Thanks anyway.
