Microsoft is pretty much "betting the farm" on .NET, so its future looks
very bright right now.
The .NET-based replacement for VBA (VSTA) was announced at PDC a couple of
weeks ago, but there will be a long transition period.
LISP has always been a bit out of the mainstream; but I don't see AutoCAD
dropping support anytime soon either.
C++ on Windows is going to be really neat with C++/CLI. The AutoCAD .NET
APIs are built on top of unmanaged ObjectARX.
Personally, I would try to use .NET (pick your language) for any new
development.

We have many tools (Vlisp, VC, VBA) to develop AutoCAD. Now Autocad2006 can
use .net technique. We want to know the future of developing AutoCAD. Will
.net be the main tool for Autocad? What .net's future will be? Can .net be
going for long? Or it will be disappeared in the future new edition? Thanks
for reply.
