Whenever I Insert Model in to an existing document, it resets every snapshot to the position of the new component, thus making any additions to an existing file impossible.
Just to clarify - you're seeing that it resets the view/camera to a new view in every snapshot? I've tried this with several work files and can't reproduce the problem.
Maybe some screenshots or a screencast would be helpful here.
