We have a template file set up for Busbar creation. When creating a new part from template, we draw in the line dimensions, and then contour flange the line. Of the options you can set by material default, there are some options which you can not set by default, which is ridiculous in terms of productivity. When using the Contour Flange feature on a line, you should be able to set default settings in this dialogue options box for a template file. EG: For our Busbars, they are always drawn offset from the centre (Offset Direction Button, set default to offset from centre), with the Width Extents button, also set to offset from centre, and Distance A to be set to the Variable "Width", instead of what appears to be hardcoded "25 mm". When we need to make approximately 100 - 400 individual unique bars, this process gets old very quickly. Being able to open the set default templated file, draw the measured line dimensions, close sketch, Contour flange, have all settings already inputted and set, including the Width parameter, and then just user setting the correct bar size, would save hours of time. I have already had countless rounds with chat GPT for setting adjustment, rules to override - and nothing is really clean, when all options in Inventor should have a configuration file that you can alter the default settings to number or text values.
