I am using Inventor 10 at work. I can not add general notes to a idw. Every time I hit the ok button it just stays blank. Also if I try to add text to a dimension or leader, the leader lines will remain but dimension characters disappear. Anyone have any ideas??

I have just started to work here and they have the inventor suite package. They have never used inventor though. I own inventor suite 2010. I run a side business designing dies for various manufacturing companies. That is how I got hired here! Anyway, I convinced them to upgrade their inventor and the software should be arriving soon. In the mean time I need to fix this problem.
All Service Packs must be installed before the hotfix.

You are correct, but the original poster probably has the issue of no
available service packs that are required BEFORE the hotfix can be
applied. Here's the Readme from the R10 hotfix.
I did a thorough search of my servers at Tekni and found no traces of
R10 Service Packs. If anyone locates them, I'll be happy to host them
publically.
