Strange Bug

We are using IV 2014, but it should concern any version I think

We have an assembly with a name containing a space juste before the "." of the extension. Ex : "myassembly .iam"

When you use any fonction using design accelerator system (Bolt connexion...) the system will try to create a directory with the name of the assembly without the extension and then another directory "Design Accelerator" and finally the files.

Problem : in Windows when a directory contains a "space" at the end, the system removes it automatically.

So Inventor is not able to create the subdirectory "Design Accelerator" as it is looking for the directory with the "space" in it.

Ex:

Inventor will create the directory "myassembly "

Windows will change it to "myassembly"

Inventor will try to access the directory "myassembly " (with space) and get an access error.

I was not looking for a solution, just describing the bug. Solution seems pretty obvious anyway...

@gmassart

There was a "bug" in Inventor 2014 regarding some "path naming" conventions under certain workflows.  But most likely nothing will be done since it was corrected in the next release (2015).  Well it was corrected for the workflows I knew about.

Except in case of mistyping or replacement of text at the end of the filename with a space before (imagine you remove the word copy that is at the end of a filename with a space just before) it should not happen often.

But i found the bug strange and difficult to determine, I add to try to name a folder in explorer with a space to see the space was removed.
