Sheet metal Refold moves stationary surface

I am trying to make a washing net, that needs a bunch of slot patterns. So by using the unfold options i create the slots. When i try to refold the part i select the bottom of my part and refold all the "walls". The preview looks correct however when i press apply/okay, the whole net rotates 125 degrees from the origin plane it was sitting on.

Part attached for reference.

See pictures here (Note the top right navigation cube is in the same spot in all pictures):

This is not going to be helpful, but just wanted you to know.
If i import/reference your IV2024 file in IV2023, convert it to sheetmetal, set the correct thickness and use "refold" it behaves as you expected and keeps the "bottom" on the origin plane like in the preview image you posted.

I don't have access to IV2024 so i can't verify the actual problem...

Hmmm, this is the second time in 2024 I have had sheet metal issues that only seemed to be "Client side".
I previously had an issue where refolding would result in the wrong angle on the bend. Maybe 2024 sheet metal is just not optimal yet...

It works for me in 2024.1.1 (build 209).  Update your application and try again.

I'm also not clear why you needed to Unfold and Refold the part to cut the slots?  They're all on planar faces, so it works just fine to work on the folded model.

In any case, I see lots of symmetry in this part, so I tried simplifying it quite a bit for the same result.  The attached model is Inventor 2024.

Yeah, i could just do with out the unfold/refold, that is because my original plan was to make all slots on the unfolded surface in one pattern. Dont know why I did not think of it not being necessary with 4 different patterns...

Thanks!

Updating inventor to latest version fixed the issue!
