There are a few things I would look at:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/product-design-suite/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcar...

clean out the %temp% folder

In your task scheduler make sure you have the resources set

Hi! I am linking a related thread here.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/no-more-memory-is-available-attempt-to-allocate-8-byte...

Gabriel reports that it could be related to integrated graphics system on the machine. Do you happen to have integrated graphics card? Could you take a look at post#33 and 34 in above page?

Many thanks!

I am also having this error.

I had it in 2018 as well.

I have cleaned out my %temp% folder and rebooted and still get the error.

I am running with 64G RAM

512 SSD

1Tb hard drive for data storage

Nvidia Quadro M4000 Graphics.

I should not be having this problem.

It only happens in Inventor.

Are we any closer to resolving the issue, or are we still blaming peoples hardware.

Hi! Are you able to reproduce it consistently? Where is your material and appearance library located?

Many thanks!

Hi Jonson,
I was able to reproduce it 3 times, using a standard mate constraint in an assembly, 3 of the four items worked then the 4th item came up with the error. I had cleared %temp% folder after the first error (most of which was inventor thums possibly because it froze while in inventor). It happened 2 more times when doing the same process, then it came good and has not had the error again, yet.
I have just checked the temp folder again and there are no inventor thums in there, only Autodesk Inventor 2019 License2 to 6 (5 files)

Hi John,

This is concerning. 1) It cannot be reproduced consistently. 2) We can never reproduce it on our machines. 3) More than one users are seeing it across multiple releases.

But, I am running out of ideas. Do you run any non-Autodesk Add-Ins? When you reproduced the behavior, were there other applications running? Could you try the following two workflows?

- Repair Install (Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Autodesk Inventor Pro 2019 -> right-click -> Uninstall/Change -> Repair Install)

- Reset Inventor (All Programs -> Autodesk -> Inventor Pro 2019 -> Tools -> Inventor Reset Tool; all customization in 2019 will be reset to install default)

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,
I have just installed update 2019.1 this morning, will this have the same effect as resetting?

Hi John,

No, installing 2019.1 will not reset your options. Is this error happening before 2019.1 or after?

Many thanks!

I only installed 2019.1 this morning.

The error has not happened so far today, but that is not unusual as it happened 3 times one after the other yesterday, but prior to that had not happened for possibly 4 to 6 weeks.

Just had this problem too... 32GB of ram... 32000000000bytes but it can't allocate 8???

Hi Cameron,

If I recalled correctly, we did implement a fix in 2019.3 or 2019.4. Have you installed 2019.4 update?

Many thanks!

Hi! I am sorry I may have brought up before. Please try cleaning up %temp% and updating graphics driver also. Make sure you have .Net 4.7 installed and all critical Windows updates installed.

Many thanks!

Installed 2019.4 and 2019.4.1 updates yesterday. Now today, getting this serious error which results in loss of work.

Temp folder recently cleaned and latest graphics driver is installed.

We never saw this error while running 2019.3.

Is it time to uninstall the .4 updates?

Regards,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

This issue does not seem to be release or update specific. So far, we don't have a reliable way to reproduce it. I am really clueless at the moment. Some said it could be hardware related but there is no proof.

Has the graphics driver been updates? And, all critical Windows updates are installed?

Many thanks!

Hi, Johnson.

The graphics driver was updated to latest available for the card for Inventor 2019.3. We never had this "serious error" when running this version.

This error occurred the day after updating to 2019.4.1. It just seemed to coincidental.

User has cleaned %TEMP% folder since and doubled Undo File Size to 8191 KB.

We will report if we find a pattern or reproducible steps. Thanks for following up on this issue.

Regards,

Jerry
