I like that I can now create custom hole
notes. However, is it true that I cannot create more than one type of note
for a specific hole? For example, let's use a simple thru hole.
Often that hole would be a simple drill thru (which is what my note is set up
for). However, sometimes we'll put a threaded fastener into that hole, so
I would need a note to call that out. I realize that I can edit the custom
note I created, but I'd practically be retyping the whole thing.
Did that make sense? Those of you that came
from MDT... you can create holenotes there to your heart's content... you can
have any number of notes for a single hole type, and you can pick the one you
need. It appears that you can't do that in inventor. Is that indeed
the case?
One more question... the default leader attachment
point for the holenotes is UPPER left or right. Our standards are middle
of all text. It appears that you can't control the attachment point on
holenotes (I do realize that you can change it after placement, but it's an
extra step). Can the default attachment point be changed? Perhaps thru the
registry?
Thanks in advance for the help. I'm
evaluating Inventor for a possible switch from MDT, and these things all play a
part in determining whether or not we switch.
