Friday pictures 10-24-'14

Well, i've been having a great week....Smiley Sad

Earlier this week my computer had some failure shutting down and now a lot of the software doesn't work anymore, including most of my Autodesk software...

Because our company is in the process of moving to a new location the IT person doesn't have the time to reinstall windows, so i haven't been able to make any renderings this week.

But, to supply something to our weekly show, i've made a photograph of the carroussel i did a render of a few weeks ago:

Next week we'll be moving everyone in the office, so i might not be able to visit the forum as much.

Have a good weekend people!

Well I finally got a big enough workstation where so I can use these tools properly, This is a rack we did for Kia a few months ago, I'm just now starting to use Showcase so I'm not sure how long to let models render but my boss and his partner were happy with the outcome.

Niels,

Not sure if you were aware of this or if it even affects you and your crash, but Windows put out an update that seems to be causing havok with ADesk programs all over the place. I wanna say it came out on Tuesday or Wednesday. Look into rolling the Windows updates back a few days and see if that helps. Might be worth a shot.

Cheers,

Jim O'Flaherty

Thanks for the advice, i did see something about windows update messing up stuff on the forums.
Unfortunately i didn't have more than one recovery point due to disk space and rolling back didn't help.
Windows doesn't even let me uninstall anything without throwing errors.
From what i can make from the logs and recovery tool it seems the registry is damaged, so I'm going to let our IT person reinstall windows when we're done moving.

Btw, don't you have any pictures to add? 😉

Large process column i have been working on for quite some time now. Mostly build by a configurator that i build with the help off all you guys so i wanted to share a result of the help i have gotten from here.

Height form floor to top = approx 80 meters

Diameter of column = 4.8 meter

Weight when operating = approx 500 Ton

Weight when testing = approx 1500 Ton

Just a High Raytracing image, haven't tried to get a better image result because there is still a few weeks engineering needed 🙂

Thanks for the great pieces of code! which are making my life so much easier!
