I am having a problem with a font appearance in Inventor 2014.
Our company uses Century Gothic text within drawing title blocks & I noticed that the Inventor version slants almost as if it's been italicized unlike the Windows version (see image attached). I checkewd & it is not italicized. Interestingly, the slant goes away when it is bold in Inventor.
Wikipedia shows the font not slanting (see attached). I cannot use Bitmaps or other raster graphics for the text.
Anyone have any ideas how to get a non-slanting non bold Century Gothic?

Possibly install a 3rd party Font into the Windows Font Directory. Inventor uses the Windows system fonts, so this must have changed with Windows.
Works fine on my computer with both INV 2014 and 2015..
It must be set to italic as like Blair said it uses windows fonts
Blair/Mgvr,
It apears that the font shows with Italics regardless of wether Italics are turned on or not, as you can see in the attached dialog screen shots.
Same behavior occurs in Inventor 2015 as in 2014 on same computer.
I checked the font on my laptop it looks correct. It's also correct in MS Word & other Windows programs.
So, it seems to be a buggyness in Inventor only on my workstation system.
I'm not sure how to resolve it yet.

And using it in Word,etc.. does not show the problems either?
This would be a perfect time for creating a support case to Autodesk vs hoping one of us users can help IMO..
Could this be a graphics issue? Are you seeing any other funky graphics oddities?

What dose it look like if you go to C:\Windows\Fonts and open the 4 type faces.
This is what I see in Windows font viewer
For Century Gothic (Normal)
century Gothic Italic
If it OK then there must be a problem with Inventor. If it's not OK then I'd suggest, or you might want to do this any way, obtain a copy of the file/s from a machine that IS NOT displaying this problem and transfer them to all the machines that are.
I have also noticed more so with a smaller size that there, and the font changes form normal to italic for me without any problems when in inventor, very little difference between the normal and italic type face.
Gary,
Does this effect everyone in your company?
If you user our defaults IPJ does it make a difference?
Are you using default Design Data?
Have you tried the Inventor Reset Utility?
If a different user logs into your computer does it make a difference?
Thank you.
Bob,
I'm the only one using Inventor currently.
I'll have to check tomorrow if the Century Gothic looks fine on other computers in the office using Windows programs & standard font.
The font looks perfectly fine on my laptop using IV 2014 & 2015. No italics unless I turn it on.
I tried creating text using the default IPJ project & same problem occured.
I will see if I can someone else log in to my computer under another account & try that before i attempting the reset utility.

Mason,
See below for Windows font on my computer.
There's a bold, bold italic & italic version shown, but no regular non bold without italics.
This could be the problem, you think?
Can I get the Centery Gothic font from another machine (my laptop) & install in the WIndows font folder?
I don't notice any difference if it's 1/8" high or 5
" high text BTW.
Gary
The solution was simply to copy the regular Century Gothic font from another computer to my system & now it looks correct.
Thanks Mason-Paul for pointing me toward the C:/Windows/Fonts folder. I discovered the regular font was missing.
Wish all problems were that eady to fix.
I appreciate every ones replies & help. Nice to have a sense of community.
