Terminal Server ???

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as the "Terminal Server" edition
of ACAD? We want to run ACAD on a Citrix server but so far have been unable
to find out if this is possible.

No there is not. It is not supported and installing Autocad in a TS server
is a violation of the EULA.

I have heard that you can contact your VAR and see if you can get "special
permission" from autodesk if you have more than 50 seats of Autocad, but I
also heard that they stopped doing that too. It wouldn't hurt to try
though.

Sorry,
Kevin

I can't believe that Autodesk would not allow this. As long as we have all
of the necessary licenses what difference does it make how they are
deployed? Even Microsoft has no problem with this.

I don't know their reasoning. I also don't know why anybody would want to
run Acad in a TS environment. I mean, I can understand the admin side of
it, but from a performance standpoint I've heard that graphic and processor
intensive apps (like AutoCAD, Photoshop, Pro/E, Inventor, MDT, ADT,........)
are not good candidates for a TS environment.
