How to detect acad service pack from registry

I am writing a prog to detect what service pack has been installed for acad and verticals.

Is there a registry key I can use for this?

I know about the help dialog and methods when acad is running, not interested in that.

thx

How about checking under HKLM\SOFTWARE\AUTODESK, there seems to be a "Service packs" entry under the product code (ACAD-XXXX:YYY).

right, first place I looked. I could swear there used to be more in there.

It must be HKLM, not HKCU...but where?

oh, you mean like here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R19.0\ACAD-B000:409\Service Packs

I only see that for r19 products though (2013 and 2014), what about previous?
