Section view production, adjust auto elevation to reduce empty space in section views?

Hi all,

I don't often work with cross sections so I am having to build the company template.  The automatic elevation datum seem a little conservative and is leaving a decent amount of sheet space under each cross section.  It is possible to have any control on how Civil 3D automatically assigns a datum to a cross section?  I don't want to manually assign an elevation to each cross section, there are too many sections and the elevation varies too much for this to be practical.
