Is there a way to trim a feature line with an XREF?

I'm trying to trim a feature line with respect to an xref but it doesn't let me choose the xref as the cutting edge. Is there a faster way to do this than to ncopy the xref line and then trim?

You can simply just draw a line over the xref line that you are trying to trim to.

Hi @mlopezQSJLB

I don't believe there is a way to select thru an xref to pick a Cutting Edge. However, for all other objects besides a Feature Line, there is the AEC Modify Tools, available from the right click menu! It accomplish what you are looking for. The AEC Trim command will let you draw a virtual Cutting Edge rather than selecting a cutting edge! so you can simply trace a short section of the Xref! But it works on AutoCAD objects only.

I created a short screencast video to demonstrate.

Hope this helps,

Hello @mlopezQSJLB ,

Just checking to see if your problem has been solved. Have you tried the suggestions from above and did any of them work? Let us know if you still need help!
