I found this command while customizing a Tool Pallet. It's supposed to create a report on crossing breaklines in a surface or survey database. But I get Unknown Command when I try to run it. Any information on this? I've tried Help and Google.

This should run ootb. I think it was a subscription thingy for 2011 but in 2012 it should be a known command. Repair?
John Mayo
Thanks for the thoughts John. That may be the answer. But I just did a Clean Install less than a week ago. This software isn't much use if I have to Repair/Reinstall on a regular basis. I've had 2012 installed for less that a year and I've reinstalled twice and done a repair at least a half dozen times.

The file is there but there's something fundamentally wrong. I figured I'd try to run it from the Toolbox but get Unknown command "AECCTOOLBOX". Probably time to try John's idea of a Repair.

A Repair did no good at all.

Ugh...
Do the files exist where Jeff said they were? Can you run any of the other Tools in the Toolbox?
John Mayo
The file exists. I can't get the toolbox, just Unknown command "AECCTOOLBOX".

I can only execute from the command line. I can't open the toolbox. There seems to be a more fundamental problem. Unknown command "AECCTOOLBOX".

Do you have the Civil 3D Data folder shared on the network?
If so try point C3D to the default location
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2011\enu\Data\
and see if the Toolbox will work. You could also just copy the files from the default to your shared folder but I would make backups.

I did some research and it pointed to it being a problem with the profile. However I've tried switching to the default <<C3D Metric>> & <<C3D Imperial>>. These commands don't work in any of them.

If I log in under another windows profile the commands work. So I guess my profile contains errors. I'll have to start a new one, but that isn't so easy in a Novel network. I'm waiting for IT to let me know if it's OK to do it.

OK. Some work got in the way for a while and IT got back to me.
I created a temporary "Computer Only" admin account. I logged in to that and deleted my original account after backing it up. I let it leave the files in the libraries. I then created a new account with the original name.
When I log in to the newly created account I can now run all the commands that were missing before. It a bit of a nuisance having to load and/or recreate all the customization, but I hope this will get things running better.
