Cant zoom in on Model space after returnig from a Layout tab

Hi, each time I come back to model space from a layout tab It zooms to the extents. then when I try and zoom back in on my drawing it has limited zoom (cant go all the way in) I have tried 'z entre e entre' but no good so eaqch time I need to save it (as far zoomed in as possible) then close it and re-open and then I can zoom all the way in. Any help?

cheers

In modelspace enter UCSFOLLOW at the command line and set the new value to 0

Rob,

Whenever I have zoom-limit issues, the first thing I do is Regenerate. You might also try setting REGENMODE to 1.

Try the UCSFollow. I've seen this problem but don't remember the particulars. As a workaround you can save a View of you drawing zoomed to the project. Then restore the view if you can't zoom in far enough. You can also try Zoom > Object > Last to zoom to the last object you created in modelspace.

You can also list the Last object and do a Zoom > Center to the coordinates of the object.

I am having the same issue as robstewart had but the fixes below are not working... essentially zoom-in will not allow being able to get tight... also and maybe related drawing lines only displays one grip.
