Mapexport Not Exporting Link Template Data

In the past, I have been able to use Mapexport to export multiple layer drawing information including Link Template Data to a .shp file. Now it seems as though I can only export one layer at a time.  Has the MapExport.ini changed?  Here are my current settings and I have attached the MapExportRoute.epf (1 layer) and MapExportAll.epf (all Layers and links)file. I have also tried changing EntTypes=Types and only exported Lines or Points, but if I export more than one layer, I don't get the Link Template information.

MapExport.ini [SHP]

[SHP]
File=True
Rootname=False
;EntTypes=Types
FeatureClass=Single
CreateClassBy=None
SupportsAppend=False
;File=False
;Rootname=True
EntTypes=All
;Driver:FME_ARC_DEGREES_PER_EDGE=5
Driver:FME_ARC_CHORD_DISTANCE=0.0

Hi @TorenTrue ,

From the description, I assume the target is to export MULTICLASS .Shp.

So Mapexport will create a .SHP file for each feature class.

To Export to SHP Multiclass

Please let me know if that is what you are looking for or send me the .dwg you like to export.

Kind regards

I never have used Shape Multiclass in the past and I have used ESRI SHP, but I tried according to the instructions in the link you provided and the Link Template information still didn't export.  I have attached a drawing with a few of the layers/objects needed.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi @TorenTrue ,

thank you for sending the dwg.

In my test the export of the link template data source column is done - since I do not have the data source the entry is only ID 0.

Did you select the attributes with the export?

If that is not working for you please send the data source too.

Kind regards

I have done further testing with a different drawing and it is also not connected to the database.  I used AutoCAD Map 3D 2016 and was able to export the data Link Template data (Id) to a .dbf file. I used the same drawing in AutoCAD Map 3D 2020 and the same .epf file.  I have attached the .epf and .dwg used and the resultant .dbf files.  Note: I removed one of the layers after loading the .epf file for the 2020 s layer test.

Please test using 2016 and 2020. If you don't have the same results I did, I would be curious to know the difference

Hi

I've same behaviour as you, Map 3D 2015 is able to export ID value, and Map 3D 2019 isn't => ID = 0

Hi @TorenTrue ,

I have the same with export in Map 3D 2020 and related to our rules I test with current version Map 3D 2021.

In the new version it is working for me, please have a look at the short video: https://autode.sk/2UpTJ4a.

Is it possible for you to confirm?

Regardless that it seems to work in Map 3D 2021 the issue is documented to the Team to take care.

Regards

I have tested with AutoCAD Map 3D 2021 and it appears to be fixed.  You are a Miracle Worker! 😁

I am able to export Lines and points from different layers and Link Templates and have attached the .dbf files (as .xls for viewing in Excel).

I did modify my MapExport.ini from default as shown below:
[SHP]
;File=True
;Rootname=False
;EntTypes=Types
FeatureClass=Single
CreateClassBy=None
;SupportsAppend=False
SupportsAppend=True
File=False
Rootname=True
EntTypes=All
;Driver:FME_ARC_DEGREES_PER_EDGE=5
Driver:FME_ARC_CHORD_DISTANCE=0.0

Thanks for your help!
