Our shopfloor has printers that print out ops sheets for the operators. These printers take a converted dwg to pdf file and print them. However, in order for them to print correctly we need to set our pen parameter to monochrome so the colored layers are interpreted as black and white. This works fine using PDF995. The only problem now is the digital pictures we ocassionally embedd into the dwg file aren't interpreted correctly due to the monochrome setting. The printouts for the pictures are not displayed correctly due to the black/white setting. Pics usually display better as grayscale. How can we correct this issue?
Incorrect. We take a DWG file, set output to monochrome in Acad and plot to PDF995. The operators print the PDF file. If we don't set the pen to monochrome the pdf output will show shades of gray and the light colored layers may not show up well in the printed PDF file.
