TABLE CELLS WITH A FORMULA HAVE A GREY BACKGROUND MASK.

I created a table and used formulas to calculate results within the cells. The calc's are correct but an annoying gray text background mask displays with the results.

I tried properties dialog, text dialog, text editor, table editor, and can't make the mask go away. Model,Paperspace, plotting and it still appears? greycells.JPG

Try fielddisplay=0 it should turn off the background

.... just be aware when you turn that variable off you will no longer be able to quickly spot a FIELD easily.

Why not just assign FIELD text a color you can see? The better approach if you don't like to lose track of FIELD objects like the rest of us do.

fielddisplay to "0" worked great, thanks for the tip! And sure its tough to pick out cells with formulas but you can read the tables after plotting.

WHERE IS A OPTION OF FIELD DISPLAY

Fielddisplay (not field display) is a system variable,

so type in

FIELDDISPLAY

press [enter]

press[F1] to read the help

type in 0 or 1, follow by [enter]

to change the current setting

BUT: No background forces trouble, because you can not see that a Text or part of them are field values.
