Yellow Flickering lines on PASTE command, Snapping icon flashes with them.

I'm having an issue on trying to paste an object into my drawing. it seems like the cursor is trying to snap to something but I cant tell what.

It also flashes some lines in yellow as in the image and seems to turn on and off snapping when they do.

I've tried a few settings but I've never seen anything like this before so I'm at a loss.

It feels similar to clash detection on Revit, which is where these drawings originated.

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

Running AutoCAD2024 by chance and missed reading about this new feature?

Huh, I didn't even consider that it might be a feature.
Thanks 👍

yeah it does feel like the worst option ever, as if it is made for people who do not use autocad on a daily basis.

luckily we can turn it off 🙂
following the link from pendean (solution) -> autoplacement: 0  fixed it for me
