Solved: Layer States in Xrefs revert back to Base Model each save

How can I keep layer state settings locked on an xref'd model? Every time I save the original model and reload the xref, the layer state reverts back to the base model instead of keeping the applied layer state. Thanks!

Have you verified that the variable VISRETAIN is set to 1? This typically would control this.

Set system variable VISRETAIN to "1". That should solve your problem.
