copy/paste problems

HI,

I am a beginner here. I used to use MiniCAD back in the days and refused to learn AutoCAD. but now I am taking a classs and i am supposed to do this mass model in Autocad I love the challenge.

i just hav a simpl drawing (parti) filled with a bunch of rectangules, when I copy and then paste the object (rectangule or square of arc) it looks like it snot placing it in the desired area (i was doing this until certain moment and then i could not any longer I have the feling I messed up to much with ether preferences of th UCS)

the objects to paste are being place in a 45 degree ( or perhaps other angle) but way far away from where  i want to and only becomes evident when i zoom in like a lot.

why di it do how could i paste where desire?

Hi,

Maybe because some of the lines and arcs in your drawing have Thickness greater than 0?

Look at the drawing from another point of view (use ViewCube or 3DORBIT command)

Do you use object snap, when you place objects in DWG?
