This is a frustrating one. I do my 3D modeling by use of simple cylinders, boxes and everything looks fine. but when I re-open the file just minutes later lots of objects has moved. See attachment. The attached picture shows a highlighted cylinder that is BOTH highlighted inside the module (where it is supposed to be) and on the outside where it has moved.
Please help me. This happens all the time and I have to move the objects back in position. The distance the objects are moved is random. I use 'acadiso3D' template for these models
Would it be possible to provide the file where you took the screenshot from so I can further investigat this issue?
Hi, I tried to investigate this problem in your dwg files.
I didn't get real solution but got some clues.
First, I select one object which is moved and I found the object and its grips are offset.
Then, I click on one grip point, the object appears correctly.
When I click that grip point again, the object is moved to its position correctly.
I notice that the object's geometry is same in first and third images.
So, I assume that this object is graphically moved but logically at its original position.
I found some posts about this problem in autodesk forums too.

I can see the behavior you are describing. However it is unclear as to why you are experiencing this behavior. I did attempt to clean the file of any corruption it may have and found many instances of a "Genius" regapp. "Genius" was the "mechanical" plug in for AutoCAD back around Release 14 and 2000. However, many components of the current version of AutoCAD Mechanical will still produce these regapps with the name "Genius".
With that said, my suggestion would to be to run a "clean purge" process (http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS18809891) on your file. In addition, you may also want to use the BREP command. The following link will provide additional information.

Once this is completed, I would then rebuild the file (repair the moved objects or redraw) and monitor to see when exactly that they "move their geometry".
Regards,
