Using terminal strip editor for sensor blocks.

I am trying to use the terminal strip editor for my Phoenix contact sensor blocks. I have created the catalog data for it and linked it to its foot print but none of it seems to be working correctly. does anyone know of a good way to do sensor blocks with the terminal strip editor?

The block you show in your picture looks like it is a 2 level block with 3 connections. You will need to make sure it has the proper attributes for all its connections. You will also need to add those terminal blocks properties in the Database for the part number of that part. You then need to associate the terminal on your schematic as level1,level2, level3.

Look in the the help files to see more details on how to do this.

Good Luck!!!

Trick is to treat it as a 3 level terminal: Top is the signal, Middle is 0V, bottom is 24V.

You draw them as regular terminals and then associate them together into one part.

This is how I show them in the Schematic.

And this it the Edit Component dialog box:

I use the middle for 24v and the bottom for 0V but the concept is the same.
