SAC 2016 : Cut or delete variable definition bug

I create a variable definition using "Define variable".

Next i do some assignments using "Set variable".

Then i cut the variable definition so that i can paste it to another place.

When i paste it and trying to rename it by deleting the automated copy extension set by the SAC, i get the error message that variable exists!!!

And indeed it exists because variable assignment keeps working although variable definition is not visible.

So i let the program with this variable not existing but I get no error message although i should!!!

I enter the "Set variable" that i have set before doing the cut, and i see that the name of the variable is empty. I click on the drop down list with the available variable names and it is not there. No error message is shown!!! Changing variable's value works fine!!! I get an exact response at the preview pane!!!

This means that variable definition is in fact not deleted. It is right there where i first entered it. But it is simply not visible!!! And it is not selectable by the drop down lists that sets its value.

Same behaviour doing Delete and trying to define same variable from scratch.

Obviously a bug. A serious one. Simply can't go on using SAC for even the simplest subassembly!!!

Anybody found a workaround ?

I attach a pkt file renamed to zip so that it can be attached. So just change its extension to pkt and try it.

Edition to edition, bug to bug, old bugs corrected, new bugs coming out and so on...

In the file I'm seeing a Set Output Parameter included and not a Define Variable. Hard to tell what you think is wrong when there isn't the items included in your post.

I don't have access to 2016 here but I have to ask:  why are you CUTTING the variable definition?  You can just drag it to the new location.

But I did recreate the scenario you've described (in SAC 2014) and it worked without complaint.

Yes. Cut/paste or delete works fine in SAC 2014. But not in 2016.
Dragging is not a quick solution when you have to move among multiple nested containers.

? No! There is a Set Variable Value. Not a Set Output Parameter.
But there is not a Define Variable. And there is no mistake warning! It works fine! Changing variable's value immediately reflects to Preview window.

One year.

Let me put it in another way.

Create a new blank pkt file.

From "Toolbox" "Miscellaneous" drag and drop into a flowchart a "Define variable".

Name it whatever you like.

Now delete it. Nothing exists.

One more time, drag and drop into the flowchart a "Define variable".

Try naming it with the previous one deleted.

You get the error "The name xxxx is existing, and please enter another name" !!!

Totally insane.

Anyone from Autodesk ?
