The is the "text" section of the properties manager that is displayed when you select a dimension.
Is it possible to change the amount of decimal places this value reads out to? I could swear it used to read to 4 decimal places, but now it only does 3 and I cant figure out where to go to change that.
The drawings we do are generally to 3 decimal places, but I like to know what the measurement is to a bit more accuracy. A line that is .2506 long will round to .251 if you are using 3 place dimensions. However, get a few of these in a row and all of a sudden your math isnt working out correctly anymore. It was nice to be able to see the 4th digit so I could see on what features this rounding is taking place.
Im using AutoCAD LT 2014.

two places to check. UNITS command and make sure that's set to the number of places you want to see. then look at the DIMSTYLE Primary units tab and see what's there.
The UNITS command was what I needed. Thank you - So many little nooks and crannies to look in and learn with Autocad.
