Autocad Open file preview not shown

Dear all,

I have the Building design suite ulltimate 2014 installed on my PC  (Windows 7 64 bits.)

Since version 2013 and till now the open preview is not shown ( See the picture attached)

Is there a final solution for this problem?

Try this

1. Open REGEDIT.
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\Rxx.x\ACAD-xxxx:xxx\Profiles\<<select your profile>>\Dialogs\Select File
3. Make sure the DWORD value "PreviewVisible" = 1

I have checked the registry key as you mention but all the variable are set to 1.

When I have installed first the building suite ultimate the preview is normal but now nothing is shown.

This is happened also in the version of 2013.

When I reset the profiles in the Option menu of Autocad the preview return but all my setting (Cursor, background are reset also).  I do not know how to resolve this problem.

Your help is very appreciated.

Soluton #1) Adjust the Cursor, background etc in the "reset" profile

Solution #2) Adjust the Thumbnail preview  settings in your existing profile so they match the thumbnail preview settings of the  "reset" profile  Tools > Options > Open & Save > Thumbnail Preview Settings
