Auto CAD slice

I want to slice two members thruogh the intersection plane. What is the easiest method to do this? Please help me.

1) put your ucs on a plane perpendicular to the slice plane (ucs front for example)
2) type PLAN to go to the front view
3) activate slice command and use it for one member; then redo the command for the next one.

Yes, It's working. But, how to define the intersection point correctly?
It seems like it takes nearest point of 2 members. Is it correct?

The first point you define for the slice plane is the point at the bottom where both of the members meet. This is the easy one to select.

For the second point I simply used a trick by shift+right clicking, choosing mid between two points; and then selecting the two corner points of the profiles. This will make your slice plane nicely symmetrical.

I typically use INTERFERE command to create a new (solid) object at the intersection, which can then be used to define the SLICE points.

Create Interference object.gif

Alternately, perhaps look into the  TRIMSPLIT app in the Exchange Store for a more efficient approach
