If you create a family with a Structural Column category Revit should create the analytical line for you.

Thx Erik for repplying.

Yes, If i create it from Revit Family, I can get it and edit it.
But, If i create from "in place Family"(Modelling-create-column)
I don't see any analytical line.

Is that only one way to create analytical line only from Revit
Family editor?? i search it in this manual, but i can't find it.

Thanks,
Hans

when creating an in-place family you can add an analytical line. When in the in-place family editor select Model Lines and then in the type selector pick Analytical Model [projection]. You'll need to define a work plane to place the line. You will also be a bit limited with respect to editing the analytical lines in the project.

I hope this helps. Could I ask why your using in-place families for columns?

Yes,.. Now I got it.
It seems spend the same time, creating in place family or
creating via family editor.

Making a non typ. column with an in place family, because
I can directly extrude 2D CAD layer in Revit.

Thx,

Did you use the Structural Column template or did you modify existing content?

I modify from existing content (i use an imported 2D CAD)
to make the revit model.

Thanks for your help.

If your modifying existing content the analytical line should be generated automatically by Revit
