Shared parameters of family in project are grouped incorrectly

I created a mechanical equipment family containing several shared parameters and then loaded it into a project. I then went back into the family and reorganized the shared parameters – placing them in different groups in the Family Types dialogue. When I reloaded the family back into the project, these changes were not made to the family. I went into the project browser, deleted the family from the project and reloaded the family (yes, I saved the family). No luck. The parameters were still grouped as they were the first time I loaded the family. If I load the revised family in a new project, the parameters are grouped correctly. This scenario is also true of other families.

How can I get the parameters of the family in the project to be organized like the parameters in the actual family (.rfa)?? I should also note that the “project” is actually my project template (.rte). (!)

This is also true of other objects as well. In that
when you modify a family and save it and load it into the current project the
family does not update. Aso sometimes you can not swap it it out, you need to
delete the object and place the one you want. I have seen this happen with
transitions.
