Hi everyone, I am looking to get some new BIM Software and came across revit.
I have read that it cannot be bought as a stand-alone product and can only be purchased in a bundle of other things.
In the list of software when purchasing there is Autodesk Revit - see here: http://gyazo.com/60d50e9296c06a510596f433052fc361
But when downloading for a trial I came across all these types of Revit.
I am just wondering if these other types come in with the Autodesk Revit if I was to purchase it.
Mechanical and Electrical work is the majority of what we do but I am not sure what trial I should be downloading, Revit MEP or just Autodesk Revit?.
Any suggestions or helpful links you have for me would be great, thanks.
The only version of Revit that come s bundled in a Suite is the "Full" version, simply called Autodesk Revit. It contains all the versions of Revit: Architecture, MEP, and Structure. in one single install/application.
You CAN buy just a single version of Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, or Revit Structure, by itself without having to get a Suite. You can also buy Revit LT, but this doesn't contain any of the tools for MEP. Revit Server is for worksharing only, and is just the software that one isntalls on a server to share files inside of a LAN/WAN.
Sounds like Revit MEP is most appropriate for you.
