Revit to 3Ds Max

I'm trying to export a 3d revit model into 3ds max and I'm wondering if there is anyway to have different wall materials? Currently when I export all of the walls are on an A-Wall layer however I would like for there to be seperate layers for a wood, brick, and painted walls. Any Ideas?

Try exporting an FBX file. Then Link the FBX file into 3dsMax. There should also be a Revit Preset in Max for linking/importing the FBX file.

Also, as I recall, in Revir 2013 and 3dsMax Design 2013, you can import/linkk .rvt files straight into Max.

This eliminates the need for the FBX transfer.
