How do I make a diagonal or multi directional section view cut

I'm interested in finding a way to split a section view, I understand that you can use the 'split segment' button to split a section, but that only does allows the new line to be perpendicular to the original section cut. Is there anyway to make a jagged section cut, such as a straight one, then allowing it to angle off in some other direction?

Please let me know, I'm a student and can't figure this out at all, thanks!

This is not possible. You would have to make 2 section cuts.

Jeff is correct that you will have to create two different section cuts but
you can merge the two sections so that they appear as one and you make the
section cut lines in the plan appear that it is one section going in
different directions by turning off and the section head and/or tail. See
the attached example.

If you mean to draw a split section with a 90 degree kink:

Draw a Section,

Select it,

Then in the ribbon under Modify / Views, click the "Split Section" button.

the cursor will show a knife. click on the section where you want to make the cut and drag the section to make the kinked split.
