Hello,
I got the same issue here, and i wonder if there is already a solution for this problem. (because the thread is from 2009). I'm using inventor 2013.
You could set Tools>Application Options>General tab to a real small value on Annotation Scale to make them less visible, but this will also make sketch dimension annotations very small.

is there something done meanwhile?
No.
I just found that by going to properties for the sketch into which you've imported the ACAD drawing, you can change lineweight and all the points become far less prominent.
Hi everyone,
So it seems that betwween 2009 and 2016 no one has been able to somehow hide those centre points...
It's a real pity as they really can be annoying when numerous.
Best
I agree with David !
And it can be even more annoying, when double clicking on the mouse middle button, for the "zoom all" function, and your sketch disappear, because you have a 250000 mm diameter arc.
Please Mister Autodesk... help us 😄
Hi Matheu,
The dwg geometry is converted to Inventor sketch. An arc or a circle does carry a centerpoint. It is an integral part of an arc or a circle. There is no way to "suppress it.
I think you may find another workflow working better for you. Instead of importing the ACAD geometry as sketch geometry, you can use DWG Underlay workflow. Try this.
1) Within a part, click on Import command.
2) Select the ACAD dwg -> pick an origin plane and the origin point.
The dwg geometry will be linked to Inventor as a transparency. There will not be centerpoints. When you need to consume the ACAD dwg geometry, simply create a sketch and use "Project DWG Geometry" command (nested under Project) to project the selected geometry. The center points for the projected arcs or circles will come back as a result, accordingly.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Many thanks!
If the center point visibility cannot be toggled within the sketch, would you consider an application option
that could ignore center points when performing a Zoom All command?
BTW - Solidworks has a sketch center point visibility control.

Jerry
Hi Jerry,
Many thanks for sharing the findings! The tiny points sometimes can make the view out of proportion. I am not sure if it is doable but it is a great idea. Let me work with the project team and see what we can do. As usual, there is no guarantee to address the issue but at least understanding it is the logical first step. I will get back to you with my findings.
Thanks again!
Thank you, Johnson. ( @johnsonshiue )

As is paste is not useful and linking to a dwg or making a special dwg to link to is a lot of work and fragile. I hope a solution for this is in the works. 2009-2021 seems like enough time.
The center points don't seem to be visible in acad, where I have imoported a sketch from
They sell Inventor as being so compatible with acad, but really, other systems out there are som much more compatible
Just the fact that we can't turn these center points off is just another brick in the wall, as they are so obtrusive
This could be solved easily with an option, but as usual, there was no planning for this kind of functionality, as there is no vision... just trying to keep up but failing miserably
