I just bought a new computer and trying to install Inventor 2014 with a student licens, i never had problems installing the program before on any computer, but every time i try to install it types "error 1935" at the installation file 22 out of 26, the exact text is :

error 1935. an error occurred during the installation of assembly' policy.9.0.Microsoft.vc90.atl,version=9.0.30729.1",publickeytoken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="amd64",type="win32-policy", Plese refer to help and support for more information"

That file vc90 is a dll associated with Microsoft Visual C++. Do you know what version of microsoft Visual C++ it was trying to install when the error occured? If not I would suggest uninstalling all your versions of Microsoft Visual C++ and re-installing from the links below. Note that 64 bit OSes need both the 32 bit and 64 bit installs. Once this is done, try the Inventor install again.

I just deleted all the C++ programs on the computer, and tried to install the links you gave me, but again an Error 1935 comes up again. (im not a computer genius, so i actually dont know what to do). I heard something about, that you can't get Inventor on windows 8,1. So would it maybe help to reinstall Windows to get 8.0 instead of 8,1?

There's a hotfix out for Inventor 2014 on windows 8.1 but you aren't even getting that far. Your inventor isn't installing because Visuall C++ won't install and that is a pre requisite.

I found some info on the Microsoft website on this error. You may want to try the solutions presented here

You need to install Autodesk Inventor 2014 under administrative account. Log in as the administration and then run the installation process. For more details, see:
