Vault Server 2011 IIS Problem

Hi I'm having trouble installing Vault server 2011 on my Vista 64 machine, it keeps returning an error message at the end of the installation (see pic "ADMS Error Message.JPG")

So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled IIS, asp.net and Frame.NET 1.1,3.0 & 3.5. At each stage I have tried to install the Vault server 2011 and each time it is the same error message (yes I am grasping at straws)

I was trying to install over ADMS 2010, which was running ok (although I think it was running AWS)

when I go to http://localhost/AutodeskDM/Services/KnowledgeVaultService.asmx I get this info:

HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error
The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid

Handler WebServiceHandlerFactory-Integrated
Error Code 0x80070021
Config Error This configuration section cannot be used at this path. This happens when the section is locked at a parent level.......

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hi Dion,

This problem is due to a know issue with the IIS7 which is covered by the Microsoft KB article. Please follow the steps on the article to troubleshoot the problem.

Another suggestion you may want to try, consist in restart the machine after uninstalling all the components that Vault uses, before installing them again.

I restarted the machine after all uninstalls and again after all reinstalls

The article tells me how to unlock a section etc, but I'm not used to mucking around in there, not quite sure what section(s) or for what locations I'm supposed to be unlocking for ADMS.
