Hi,
I'm trying to make a dynmic block of a column radiator.
It should be very simple. It's a 46mm wide module that comes in a range of heights (300, 500, 600, & 750mm) and a range of assembly widths (9, 13, 18, 22 & 27 modules wide - more commonly given as mm widths of 414, 598, 828, 1012 & 1242 respectively).
My attempt at constructing it has gone quite well, but when 'stretching' the block a ghost of the core 414 (w) x 300 (h) unit remains.
I attach the block to give you a better idea of what I mean.
Any help to get this working properly appreciated...
Nevermind. I seem to have fixed it - although I'm not sure how.
Anyway, for anyone who wants a columnar radiator, or thinks they can improve on mine 😉 ...
Looks like a good solution.
I like the single element with the overall width Linear Parameter.
I'll have to try that in the future.

It would be useful to have an attribute displaying the height, width and depth of the unit, and whether it was wall hung - as given by its visibility state (see the latest version of the block). Ideally, the height and width would automatically update when stretching the radiator. Similarly for the floor/wall mount toggle. I guess the depth could be selected from some kind of dropdown list.
Not sure what the most sensible method of approaching this would be.
Any thoughts?
Worked with Fields yet?
These should give you what you need.
Blockplaceholder and Object would be the two to work with.
Fields need to be assigned to Attributes or can be used in Multiline Texts.
Pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
