Ran across this issue from a pick list set up to be a link to the picklist WS records hyperlinks to the wrong revision of the item.

In my RFQ workspace I have a grid with a picklist field from my Items & BOMs workspace. In the RFQ the item descriptor shows the correct active record (REV2) but when you select the hyperlink it takes you to the Superseded record.

I believe the revison to the item record occurred before the item was added to the RFQ grid, based on the change log of the RFQ and the change order that updated the item.

I would not have noticed this discrepency accept that in this instance the key field of the Item Descriptor was changed by the revision.

See attached screen shots for details

I have also noticed that when processing the grid reference via scripting the dms target also points to the non active record. See attached sample script and debug results

Hi Bob,

I reported this to Autodesk about a month ago. Its a known issue and they's a fix coming for it soon.

I've managed to 'cover up' the issue using some scripting for now but its not ideal.

Hi Bob,

Working with David's team we found that when you create the Linking Picklist you want to choose the setting "Latest Revision" and the Linking Picklist field will update to the latest REV.

John,

Unfortunately that is how this picklist is defined. See the attached screenshots.

This issue is not with the picklist but the link. When you select the hyperlink it takes you to the incorrect revision in the item & BOM workspace. The link text shows the correct current revision, but the record that it takes you to is a previous revision?

Try changing the the "Type:" from  "With search filter" to "Latest Version" in the field set up.

That did correct the link and they now always point to the latest revision which is what I want.

But, for adding a row to the grid I want to use the filtered with search filter as just using a drop down makes it harder to find the part number. Our users most likely will only have a partial number when they start adding rows to the grid and using the search feature make part selection easy.

Hi Bob,

What you can do is post your business need to the PLM 360 Idea Station.  This will but you in direct contact with the PLM 360 Development Team and they will evaluate your feature request to potentially be included in a future release of PLM 360.

Ok, I have done that and will wait to see if this functionality get implemented?

Here is a link to the Idea Station post

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-PLM-360-IdeaStation/Linking-Pick-list-with-Search-Filter-to-L...

I can see the need to have the linked pick lists for both "Latest Revision" & "All Revisions, but the link should take you to what is displayed?

Thanks for your help
