The JPEG file format does not support a transparent color. GIF does. It would be nice to be able to use a GIF image for the logos on the login pages and top left of the page so that we can have one color transparent. See the image previews with and without the transparent color that are attached.
Why do you restrict these logos to JPEG anyway?
Thank you.

Hi Guys,
The PLM 360 user interface is great. Its very clean and consistent between workspaces. However, some of our users complain that its not always easy to tell one workspace from another.
I think it would be a great idea to be able to add a soft colour theme to individual workspaces. Nothing too complicated. Light almost white shades would be enough. Perhaps one workspace could have a light blue interface coulour while another could be a light green. Perhaps all email notifications from individual workspaces could have the same colour shading?
David.
Hi Guys,
It would be beneficial to have the option to edit the attachment description after you have uploaded the attachment. I uploaded attachments to 40 different items yesterday and I realised after that I needed to edit the description. My only option was to delete all the attachments and reload with the correct description which was a little time consuming.
Thanks
Saoirse
Currently when generating a report, PLM360 provides a plain excel output which is not very practical dealing with a large amount of information for over 1000 items.
When exporting the report to Excel, the report should be formatted similarly as the HTML version.
Below are some features to make reports on PLM more practical.
- Freeze Panes - Top Row
- Filters on column headings
- Bordering lines to show column separation
- Colored rows
To illustrate and example of what I mean...
This is how a regular excel exported report looks. This is how it should ideally look.
I'd like the ability to run a script by pushing abutton in the workspace item and not have to rely upon a state transition to do so. There are times where I want to create an item but use data from an existing item (the one I'm in at that time) and then link them together via the relationships tab. I want to do this without a state change (because state change would not be needed to simply link to items). I realize I can change behaviors to run a script upon creation that could do much of the same. It just makes sense to NOT to have to navigate away from where I'm at and then remeber what I want to link to. I'm all about automation.
It would be nice if the software automatically resized the thumbnails in the table display view. We accidentally uploaded full resolution images and not scaled down versions. When we went to the table view the software downloaded each of the 200 4mb images and nearly locked up the web browser.
Hi Guys,
It would be great if we could run validation scripts on items when they are being created or edited.
Thanks,
David.
Hi Guys,
I would be extremely benefitial if I could run a script automatically immediatley after an item has been created. It could be used to automatically create relationships after a user has created an item.
Thanks,
David.
A function where a "desktop folder" can be added inorder to add/view documents from the desktop/finder directly into PLM360. The folder to be added should be connected to a certain workspace, where the user can chose which workspaces should be able to "share" information.
The folder should be a direct connection through the username and password from the user, where permissions should be added depending on what role the user has.
Similar to dropbox, but with the added finess of PLM360.
Kind regards,
Jonas
