hatch scale factor

Working on hatches, using LINE pattern, in a drawing file created in AutoCAD 2000, now using AutoCAD LT 2005. New hatching, done in LT, appears at a much larger scale (ie larger line spacing by factor of 25). Both old and new hatches indicate the same scale factor in Properties. Match properties command does not have an effect on spacing. Is there another variable controlling hatch scale?

Factor of 25 strongly suggests that the drawing was started as metric and acadiso.pat is being used instead of acad.pat. -- Dave Byrnes / Vancouver, BC Autodesk Discussion Group Facilitator "kwmahan" wrote in message news:2337458.1096920237042.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com... > Working on hatches, using LINE pattern, in a drawing file created in AutoCAD 2000, now using AutoCAD LT 2005. Notice what you said: by a scale of 25. Correctly it's 25.4, the difference between metric and English/imperial scale... . So you changed MEASUREMENT command or something somewhere: recreate your original file's setup and your problem goes away. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

Thanks for the metric catch. The acltiso.pat file was in fact being unknowingly used. However, both MEASUREMENT and MEASUREINIT were set to "0" (imperial). Texans may be independent minded, but I doubt the metric system will be adopted in the state anytime soon!

Cheers,
Kelly
