Can't see what I'm selecting!!!

I'm using AutoCad LT and when I use any command that requries me to select the object, it wont show what i have highlited. For example if I have an object that I need to move, if start the move comand select the object I want to move then select the basepoint it will not show me where I'm moving/placing the object. Is there some kind of default/option in autocad that prevents that from happening? I've never had this problem before using my full version. Please can someone help me!

Same variables in both programs, both are AutoCAD: DRAGMODE set to Auto and
HIGHLIGHT set to 1 is what is normally set to see what you wish.
