I have already tried to recover the SV$ and BAK files but they were out of date. There was a slight power failure (less than a second) and this is when the issue started on this file. User attempted to save the file and was told it was read only. Did a 'Save As' which worked but the next time we attempted to open it the Save As was corrupt too. Have tried INSERT, RECOVER, RECOVER ALL, loading into Revit as possible solutions.
Hi @malonejoe1,
I reached out to an AutoCAD specialist to see if he could recover the file but I'm afraid he was unsuccessful. Here are all the steps he tried:
- RECOVER
- RECOVERALL
- Using AutoCAD
- Using AutoCAD Architecture
- Using Inventor
- Using TrueView
- Inserting as a block
It's possible that when you lost power that part of the file was lost during the save. Your last option would have been to get the SV$ or .BAK file and work from there but you said you already tried that. I sincerely apologize but this file maybe unsalvageable. If you have any other questions please let us know.
