insert dialogue box error

I'm using Auot CAD LT 2013.  When I try to use the insert command the browse button in the dialogue box doesn't work.  Thanks

What does it do, just nothing?
Do you have to press ESC to close the Insert command?

it locks up and the only way out is to esc. cancel and closeinf dialogue box doesn't work.

Sounds like the file selection dialog is off the screen.
